Basic Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Skilled Concrete
  • Minimum 2 years of construction industry experience preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete.
  • Willing to contribute to a company culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain flexibility, ability to switch gears and assist crew where needed, good working relationship with all employees throughout the company.
  • Ability to operate non CDL trucks, CDL preferred.
  • Prep, organize, and clean the job site and encourage others to do the same.
  • Follow blueprint specifications, build forms as needed, and utilize appropriate tools.
  • Spread, level, and smooth concrete.
  • Monitor weather conditions in regard to the curing process and adjust as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with Foreman and other crew members.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, small equipment, and other resources required to complete task.
  • Physically fit, able to work on your feet for a full 8 hr. shift with overtime as required.
  • Ability to climb ladders of varying heights.
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs. unassisted.
Skilled Steel
  • Minimum 3 years of construction industry experience erecting steel buildings.
  • Willing to contribute to a company culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain flexibility, ability to switch gears and assist crew where needed, good working relationship with all employees throughout the company.
  • Ability to operate non CDL trucks, CDL preferred.
  • Prep, organize, and clean the job site and encourage others to do the same.
  • Follow blueprint specifications to determine location, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Erect metal and precast concrete components for buildings.
  • Fabricate metal parts such as steel frames, columns, beams, and girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
  • Dismantle structures and equipment.
  • Monitor weather conditions in regard to the sheeting process.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with Foreman and other crew members.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, small equipment, and other resources required to complete task.
  • Physically fit, able to work on your feet for a full 8 hr. shift with overtime as required.

Concrete Foreman
  • All requirements of a skilled concrete worker plus:
  • Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience.
  • Lead by example to create an industrious and controlled work site.
  • Interact with clients as needed to ensure their confidence that the job will be completed properly and promptly.
  • Supervise crew to ensure the job runs smoothly.
  • Responsible for jobs being completed correctly, on time and at or below budget.
  • Track incoming material for jobs and help schedule accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with Operations Manager and address change orders or unforseen conditions.
  • Propose value engineering ideas/value enhancement additions to the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor weather conditions in regard to the work site and take action when necessary to mitigate damage and/or risk.
  • Perform corrective action plans to remedy any unsafe conditions in work area and train crew to proactively respond as necessary.
  • Mentor crew members who show potential in skillset, as well as willingness to learn and improve themselves.
  • Perform daily Job Safety Analysis and communicate the safety requirements to the crew and appropriate subcontractors.
  • Team leader who works well with others, able to delegate instruction and direction.
  • Must have good computer skills, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new technology.
Steel Foreman
  • All requirements of a skilled steel worker plus:
  • Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience.

  • All requirements of a Foreman plus:
  • Minimum 10 years of Steel Building Erector and Concrete Industry experience.
  • Manage daily issues via his frontline supervisors.
  • Lead by example to create a calm, industrious and controlled work environment.
  • Interface with customers as needed to build their confidence the work being performed will be completed properly and on time.
  • Maintain flexibility to switch gears to assist and manage jobs as the situations dictate.
  • Maintain good working relationship with all company functional leaders and has working knowledge of both Finance and Sales.
  • Verify all jobs being completed correctly, on time and at or below budget.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement by coaching and mentoring.
  • Teach and train foreman how to assess the job site hundreds of times a day.
  • Perform corrective action plans with foremen to remedy any unsafe conditions in work area.
  • Manager who communicates explicitly and specifically with proper frankness, but always with sincerity and consideration.
  • Leader whose self-control is equal to all emergencies.
  • Review blueprints and the confirm foremen understand thoroughly.
  • Communicate with clients for change orders or unforeseen conditions and disseminate internally as appropriate.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and confirm they are informed of how the work is progressing.
  • Propose value engineering ideas/value enhancement additions to clients.
  • Manage Labor, Material, Equipment, and Subcontractors:
    • Specifications, Ordering, Pricing.
    • Planning, Scheduling, Installation, Supervision.
    • Quality, Safety, Productivity/Efficiency.
  • Have corrective action plans in place to remedy any unsafe conditions in work area and train foremen to proactively respond, as necessary.
  • Mentor who communicates explicitly and specifically with proper frankness, but always with sincerity and consideration.
  • Leader whose self-control is equal to all emergencies.
  • Confirm all job sites are clean and kept in order.
  • Confirm all employees operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
  • Verify direct reports have established and are monitoring safety procedures and techniques to perform all job duties.
  • Confirm daily Job Safety Analysis and communication of the safety requirements to the crews and subcontractors.
    • Weekly safety meeting with the crew and subcontractors once each week.
